Sir Its an running Industry problem related to Porosity defects generation in piece. I try to solve it through anycast simulation software. In this regard i need guidance to design casting components (runner, riser, gates etc.) for minimisation of defects. Please give me suggestion where i should start.? |

you can modify the design like as runner area, riser area, ingate calculation, sprue size. |

Initially load your part stl file in sim lab and check the hotspot. Now design feeder for particular hotspot. Please refer any book on feeder and gating design. One can also use Metal casting book by Prof. B. Ravi |
